weratedogs This is Heidi. She was found as a stray, completely blind and terrified. On top of that, she had just given birth to six puppies. The homeowner of the property she was found on began caring for the puppies right away, but Heidi would retreat into the woods, only returning to eat and care for her babies. Thankfully, with the help of her rescue, she was safely captured so she could receive the care she desperately needed. Vets concluded that she was born blind, and over time her condition had become extremely painful. To live a pain-free and healthy life, both of her eyes needed to be removed.
